Amtico versus Karndean?
I was all set to put Amtico down in my Kitchen and Dining room, but Ive just been told about karndean flooring which is considerably cheaper.I already have experience of Amtico but is Karndean worth considering? Is there really that much difference?
Answers:
I have been fitting floring for 25 years and have experience in both
Amtico and Karndean floors.
In my opinion Amtico is far superior to Karndean, Athough Karndean can look very nice when first layed, give them a year or two and they tend to shrink and curl, You will not find this with Amtico.
I suppose it depends on your budget, but if possible go for the Amtico, athough more expensive the price really does reflect there quality.
One more thing, if you do go for Amtico make sure you use their adhesive or they will not guarantee the the life span of the tiles.
The real expense of Amtico is not the product but the support. I haven't heard anything about Karndean. It will be interesting to know what others have experienced.
