Storage heater. again!?

Thanks for all the replies about how to get a new storage heater fitted. Have now bought a new one (for a couple of hundred £) and found an electrician to install/fit it. He's saying £60 to do the job – does that sound reasonable for an installation fee?

Answers:
Sounds good to me,
I would charge a similar amount so go ahead.
He will install the heater to the wall and fit the elements and bricks so not a 10 minute job.
Sounds quite cheap to me.
Reasonable? No, Bargain? Yes!
Ye good, make sure he dose it right
That's about right for doing a simple job..
Snap that deal right up! Just the fact that you found a plumber to do a small job like that is good fortune in itself.
that sounds like he's doing you a favour its normally an £70 call out fee then labour on top. so not bad
It is a bit pricey I would say if it is just replacement. However if you have a different model it could involve extra fitting. Also is the removal from site of the old one included? Bear in mind the bricks inside are very heavy and he may have to pay a disposal fee at the local council rubbish dump.
Before you go ahead contact your local southern electric contracting depot (part of Scottish & Southern Electric, who supply your electricity) ask them to quote you first as I am sure they will be cheaper.
