When selling a house?
Answers:
I just sold my house, and i had lots of complements about warmth feeling of my house.. white is considered a cold color. cream is warm. i also had a soft yellow which i had rave reviews.antique white.. bone..all good warm feeling whites.. as for the pond.. keep it!! its the "in" thing to have a water feature.. major attraction! good luck on the sale!
white - its neutral and leaves the possibilities open to anyone with an imagination.
Leave the pond, otherwise you'll have a crater in the garden. not a good selling point.
Cream. Id drain it incase young kids are moving in, better to be on the safe side. but a filled pond may be better from a selling p.o.v.
I left my rooms as is, but they are all serene, tranquil and peaceful shades. The 1st person through the door bought it on the very first day. If you have strong colours then mute them yes but not white when it's coming up to winter! It makes a room seem colder.
Leave the pond, make sure it's clean and pretty looking.
Hope this helps you.
I'd definately go for cream, I'm selling a house at the moment and that's what I've done it really makes a difference to what colours I used to have on makes the rooms look much bigger and brighter
I personally view the color white as a good foundation. It makes
the room appear larger than it is and also cleaner/fresher.
As for the pond-leave it as is this way the new owners will
be open to the possibilities as to whether to keep it or re-
move it. Their choice.
Leave it cream, if you have children under 5yrs of age fill it in
White walls and white trim in small rooms, cream walls and stained wood trim in large rooms.
I think color makes a room pop. I wouldn't go drastic but maybe earthy hues. It's more important to keep a clean and clutter free home when selling. Being a pond person myself, I say keep it. Ponds add to a homes landscape and are basically easy to care for. Leave that choice up to the new owner.
they say that you should de clutter your house and paint everything in neutral colours when you are trying to sell (you can tell i've been watching too many location location type prog's on the telly) as for the pond, i guess people with young children might be a bit concerned. best sell the fish and make a flower bed of it , they can allways dig it out again and re instate it if they so wish.
Ist is best to paint some of the walls white or ice cream, but not all of them. As for the pond, I would add some ambient lighting and some lily pads and flower petals
