Air lock in central heating?
Answers:
Bleed the radiators and put a flush through at the same time.
bleed the system from the highest point whilst topping up the water in the system at the same time.
sometimes airlocks are a pig to getr rid of.
you dont mention what type of heating system you have but you can attach a hose pipe to a drain valve and open it, at the same time put mains pressure from your incoming water supply into the radiators for a short time , this may cure it.
Was told by someone to make sure the pump is switched off when you bleed your radiators.
Turn all your radiators off make sure your heating is switched on and open radiators one at a time and bleed it.Turn that radiator off and do the same to the next one. Then turn the rads on one at a time and make sure it is heating up Another thing to look for is a dip in the pipe work which will trap air. If that don't work you will have to purge the system with mains pressure also make sure your pump is working ok
simply go to the boiler swith it of start from the first radiator bleed it there should be a screw on the side or the back and simply turn it until warter comes out and make your way round the rest of the house and do the same when you have done go back to the boiler there should be a vaulve on it that puts water in the system this could be anywhere depending on the system but usally easy to find top it back up turn the system back on and there you go if that dont work call a plumber
this depends if your male or female if you are male this is a very hard proccess and will take a long time if your female this is easy all you do is bleed it once a month go on girls you do it anyway
If you have an open vented system, it should self-vent, make sure that it is OPEN, sometimes engineers put a blanking cap on the end in the roof space ( To prevent pump-over)
Make sure there is NO valve on the header tank, Its an offence to have one.
Try venting rads, and when you are at it insert INHIBITOR to the system to prevent internal rusting. Installers save £15 by NOT putting it in.
