Why can i not run my hot and cold tap at the same time in my bath?
A plumber recently replaced the pump on the boiler and since then we can only run the hot tap then the cold tap.
Do i need to call the plumber back to fix the problem or can i fix myself..

Its to do with water pressure. I assume you have a combination boiler which requires the water to be at a set pressurefrom the mains in order for the sensor to ignite and therefore heat the water. When you have the cold tap on, you reduce the water pressure going into the boiler which is then too low for the sensor to ignite and hence the water out is cold. You could ask a plumber about increasing the pressure but it is a very common problem with combi's.
Sounds to me that when he shut the water off for your house to change the pump. That either one of the main water valves was left part closed or it broke partialy closed. Or during the repair, some debris broke off one of the pipes causing a restriction in your water flow.
call the plumber back. definitely. he/she should stand behind his work.
Check that the plumber turned the mains back on fully. When I make a plumbing alteration I usually only open it a little so that and leak isn't a disaster. It's easy to forget to go back and open it fully
