I am about to move into a park home. It's a bit daunting giving up bricks & mortar Am l doing the right thing?
Answers:
I just recently moved into a park model. It is a small one but all that my husband and I need. It has a large Florida Room on it and is very comfortable. You can also fix them up real neat for half the price you can a regular home. As far as being trailer trash, I do not consider myself trailer trash, I have lived in a mobile home for the last 18 years and now we puchased a park model and are very happy with our decision. Everyone is so nice in the park that we live in and everybody helps everyone.
Just watch out for suspicious people with can openers.
u do what u must to survive
If that is what you need to do, then yes. We need more information to better judge the situation.
there is nothing wrong with that , it all depends on your neighbors
if it's cost effective, don't worry about it, only snobs care
Trailers and their occupants are a breed unto themselves.
You should strive to progress and not regress.
depends how old you are and any kids etc? If retiring I'd say yeah some are real good.
i don't know what a park home is maybe a mobile home? well in any case it depends on why if it is a money thing then u don't really have a choice do u ? every one has to do what ever it takes to get through this thing we call life.even though we r not always thrilled
No my friend your ure gonna be trailor trash like the rest of the hillbilly scum ..... Lol
Park Homes are as good as "Bricks and Mortar", remember that you own the Home, but not the ground that it stands on, the site will charge a "Ground Rent" that is reviewed each year, and, as and when you sell the home, the Park take a 10% commission of the selling price, E.G, sell for £100.000, the Park take £10,000 before you comple the exchange. Ask other residents about any problems with the Park, any Residents Association?, parking restrictions and Park rules. Good luck for the future. Peter
as long as you are happy and safe and have no children , then yes
I'd try to stay in a traditional house, if you mean mobile home. I know I'm being a bit of an alarmist, but last November when a tornado went through our area, it passed through a mobile home park and then our neighborhood. I believe it was 17 people who died in the mobile home park. Everyone in this neighborhood are fine. I know the odds are against you getting hit, but your life, your family and possessions aren't worth the gamble. I'd rent an apartment or house, before I'd live in a mobile home park.
I'm not trying to bash people that do live in a mobile home, but to me, after experiencing a tornado first hand, you'd have a hard time getting me to accept that deal.
As my screen name suggests, I'm in the home design business and that event has changed the way I look at home design.
God Bless and Good Luck
Hi,
This is Gary .
I will not ask your age, but will say that , you only have one chance in life, this is not a rehearsal !
If you have enough means to buy a park home, you may also have enough to buy buy a Motorhome !
Get out there !
Go travel Europe,and further !
Park under strange sky's ,drink wine and wander !
Live it !
Gary
If it is what you want then do it. If you don't want to leave your brick home and can afford to stay there, why move?
no
My mother lived very happily for many years - until she remarried. I know someone who put two together and they loved living there, with their kids. I'd rather live in a mobile home park than a flat! There's no right or wrong - go with yoru own flow.
