Brassica? I need to make 10 long thin hanging troughs for our restaurant's balcony.?

I'm re-planting for winter. I was thinking of being a bit different this year and planting in a really modern and sculptural way - I fancy just putting in a line of ornemental brassicas - purple and green. I don't know anything about them. Will they last all winter, what colours can I get - do they need special care? Any other suggestions...?

Answers:
Ivy is really useful , lots of different colours and variations. you can train it around different shapes like pyramids or any wire shape (if you buy grown ones you don't have to wait till they mature) to get the architectural feel you want .
Brassicas are not good for hanging
They tend to look best when you look down on them, mostly stalk and green leaves from below, So you may enjoy them from the balcony, but may not look so good from the road ?
you get nice ideas from the garden centre
