Roughly how much should it cost me to get a plumber to do some pipework?

I need to run a new pipe from my hot water cylinder to my bathroom (about 4-5 metres on the same floor) and a new pipe from my cold water tank to the bathroom (about 6-7 metres and one storey up). There are already pipes making the same journey so there should not be too much building work involved.

A few hundred quid at a guess.
I hope your credit's good, for when you have to go to your bank for a loan. Or just consider a re-mortgage.

About half a day, plus parts. If you can get one to turn up, about £200-£300.
Least they charge is £28 for labour up in Yorkshire
an Hour
There is a big difference in using cpvc (or any plastic water pipe like schedule 40 ) or using copper,,, big difference-- I'd say 450.00 for cpvc or plastic, and closer to 600.00 or 700.00 depending on copper price in your area
Plumbers charge around $70.00 per Hr. Be safe an get some written estimates. Most plumbers don't do building work if I understand what your saying. I'd guess it's going to cost you $ 200.00 - $ 400.00 to get your work done. There are always incidentals, get written estimates and make your choice. Good Luck
A fortune
Where do you live? I'm not a plumber, but I could do that... £80 sound ok?
depends where you are and depends on the plumber i suppose , and depends how many fitting , valves etc it need , im a plumber and most plumbers work rate is between 12 to 17 pounds an hour. hope you get it sorted :)
Either get a job rate of around £250.00 or a daily rate of about £200. a day,
A plumber for a day will cost you $500 dollars...at the most..
good luck..ask around for someone who does side work.
If hot water is going to bath then 22mm is ok if to a handbasin then 15mm same applies for cold.
.Use plastic pipe , its easier to run and cheaper than copper (£80 per kilo)
Get 3 quotes, but explain exactly what you want, sometimes its easier to get a complete job done by professionals than trying to part do some of the work yourself.
no yardstick whatever the plumber quotes and if you think he's pushing try around but dont get a cowboy because he's cheap
u can do it your self with the things you can buy to day go to eny d i y stor and they will give u a fac sheet on how to do it you dont have to use solder and its a lot cheaper than a plumber good look
