What should i use to seal a limestone wall in my lounge?

The wall was the original external wall before i extended the property. I dont want a wet look finish but something to stop dust coming from the stone (100 year old limestone)

Answers:
Limewash or Casein Distemper - check out Farrow and Ball, the specialists in paint and paper finishes using traditional methods to original formulations. Their recommendations for a limestone wall are limewash or casein distemper. For more information go to: http://www.farrow-ball.com
They have some great matte finishes for sealant. You may want to check in to www.johnbridge.com - which is the ultimate forum for tile and stone - they have experts that give great advice, but please make sure you follow their forum rules - it's a great service they offer.
A ronseal brick sealer will dry matt.

are you sure you want to seal it ? Although it is now an internal wall it will have no damp proofing, at the best it'll be slate. so damp will still rise up through the lime mortar. If you dont give this anywhere to escape it might cause problems.

Bet the wall looks cool though, is it random or cut stone, do tell ?
would maybe try some clear silicon spray or a clear varnish would do it . hope you get it sorted :)
