DIY I'm afraid, I am looking for guidance and past experience on laying solid oak tongue and groove flooring?

I intend laying the flooring onto a flooring chip board base with a 3mm foil lined cushioned underay. Each plank is 18mm x 90 mm and various lengths.

I have a decent range of tools and I would appreciate any hints you may have.

Thanks!

Yeah, keep your tongue away.
Buy or rent a tongue and groove nailer. It allows you to push the groove onto the tongue of the board and nail it so that the nail is not obtrusive. When you see the tool you will know what I mean. You cannot nail the wood directly on top. Obviously you know this but I just wanted to remind. Go see about what I said and go from there. The sales department where you buy the wood will help you. I know Home Depot and Loewe's will.
hi, start from a straight wall or line pack off about 5mm on all walls start to lay boards from left to right and nail though the tong with 40mm oval nails if fixing down. all end to be cut at 90 degree.
Make sure surface is perfectly level to start and dust free then use common sense and take your time. It is really easy to do.
