Has the price of copper gone up 3 times this year in the UK (as in the world of plumbing)?

the price has been going up and down all year , it nearly doubled in price a couple of months ago and is starting to come down now !
we machine solid copper plates in to buzz bars for the railway !

It goes up and down with the cost of oil for the most part. It takes fuel to mine or recycle it, turn it into pipe and transport it.
It has gone up in price due to the fact that China is buying so much of it. The same goes for steel. Do a search and you will see that China is soley responsible for the huge price rises in common metals.
Yes copper costs a fortune now, I just bought one 3m length of 22mm copper pipe from plumbcenter and it cost £12. A bundle of copper (22mm) is around £110
Yes the price of copper keeps going up. Good if you are weighing in old pipework, cylinders etc. at the scrap dealers, but bad if you are buying new stuff!
