How do youadjustment of the height of the ball arm on a cold water tank in the loft?
Answers:
r of grips on it if it is a brass one you can bend the arm by using a pair of grips DO NOT PUT PRESSURE ON THE BALL AS IT IS ONLY SOLDERED ON AND IT IS EASY TO BREAK OFF
ajust till the water is below the overflow pipe
a plastic one has a screw at the valve end screw this clockwise until the water level is just below the overflow pipe
If it's plastic then you have a threaded nut that you adjust.
If it's the old copper one then just give it a gentle bend until the overflow level is below the outlet.
On some you bend the air and on some there is a screw.
LOL, i have been bending my stupid thing backwards and forwards for months now...hope you find a better solution than me!
:)
on a plastic feed pipe you adjust the screw anti clock wise to lower the maxi um filling point, if you have a copper feed pipe the float can be adjusted just unscrew the fixing lower the float then tigthen up the fixing
make it longer for less water and shorten it for more water in the tank.
