Which side is your hot tap on? The right or left side of the sink or bath?
Should there not be a standard side to help the blind in public toilets
Answers:
your hot tap should always be on the left ,so if a blind person comes in your house they don't scald themselves i am a plumber and recently worked in an infants school and the taps were all the wrong way round this is wrong especially when kids are about , kids should be learned from an Early age that the hot is always on the left, its common practise, because if people or kids get scalded they will put in a claim against the school or any organisation to get a bit of compensation
on the left, most of them are.
i have mine on the left hand side, but yeah you are right..
It is almost always on the left- unless installed by someone who did not know the standard (in the US).
And most blind people a.) already know this, and b.) can figure it out easily if it was changed for whatever reason.
if you are looking straight on mine is on the left in the bath but right in the sink.
It's always on the left.
mines on the right, bath and sink
Left
in the bathroom right
on the kitchen sink right
in the cloackroom left
in my nans bathroom left so maybe there isnt any order
the hot tap should always be fitted on the left and the cold on the right, if you look at most new mixer taps this should confirm what you need to know
mine are all to the left.
as you look at it------they are both on the right
Right on the bath, left on the sink.
left side BUT it is where ever the HOT pipe is situated
left
Left side..I'm no plumber but I thought there were standards on that??
Convention dictates the left hand side
Left is hot.
sink is right and bath is left
On the right. In england, most hot taps are to the right.
Very good idea but the standard of many tradesmen is just not up to it. How would you enforce it?
looking straight at them , mine bath and sink are both on the right
hi what a strange question but here is my answer
in my bathroom the sinks hot tap is on the right
the bath its self it is situated on the right side too
downs stairs sinks are also with hot tap to the right hand side
hot taps should always be on left hand side.
this is so that a standard is maintained for less abled people
On the right .
mine is on the right side and i think there is a standard right side is usual in the uk but this may be something effected by wether your in the northern or southern hemisphere
There is a standard
hot one the left, cold on the right
not all taps are fitted this way however.
most are on the left side, but they do need to place something on each side letting the blind know for sure which is hot and which is cold
Left in the bathroom and kitchen.
its on the left hand side.
Left side is the hot side
always on the left, forthe blind u have to feel ur way
