what is the best way to clean laminate flooring

Wet wipes. Easier if on the end of one of those posh mops.

Or... do the moonwalk in soapy damp socks!

Depends on the floor. Different manufacturers may use different materials. Best bet - find the instructions that came with the flooring. Go to the store where you bought it if you need to. Otherwise, check the manufacturer's website.
I use a dampish cloth and then spray on dettol straight to floor cleaner and then wipe it

I use hot water with vinegar and a mop
If it is the Kitchen or Bathroom take it up. Any possible wet area with cause serious slipping. This flooring should be sold with a Government Health Warning.
