When you get evicted from a housing association house do they have to find you a new home?

i am almost been evicted from my house but i have a wife and six kids can they evict us and leave us homeless? im in danger of being evicted as i have taken a lower paid job and been refused housing benefit, not because i dont pay my rent as i do religously. any answers please?

Answers:
Yes they do have to find you anther house they can't kick you out on to the street, that's against the law, is they do tat then you could sue them.
no they dont, you will have go to citizens advice
No the housing association itself will not have a duty to re-house you, but the local council will, esp with kids. There should be a homelessness department within your council, ring them up and speak to them.
depends on the housing associations guidelines.if its a private one and not gov funded they can do what they want.but you can get help thru HUD and if it is hud you need to have your case reassed
Unfortunately, they can kick you to the curb, but they should give you at least a month or two to find a new place to go. If I were you, I'd start developing a back-up plan just in case. Do you have any family in the area? Are there more affordable apartments you can look in to? Is there any way your wife can get a part-time job?

This sounds so unfair and horrible for you. I sure hope things work out.
If your rent is paid up to date you cannot be evicted for not paying it. Get legal advice immediately, don't leave it any longer.
They don't have to find you housing. It is your responsibility to pay your monthly payment, you took the lower paying job not them! If I were you, I would talk to them and see if they will allow you to stay and pay till you can find another place to live that you can afford, you must pursue this in a timely manor also. If you do pay your rent religiously as you say, why are you being evicted? If you took the lower paying job in hopes of getting housing benefits, there again, you made the wrong decision, you did it!
Good Luck, your family don't deserve this but, it can happen.
Go to the council you can only be evicted if you have a tenancy agreement ..if you dont have one then just stay and carry on paying rent as normal they will have to take you to court but the court will be in your favour .....
If you do have one then go to the coucil to see what the next step is they will only rehouse you if you have not made your self homless..BY this i mean having not paid the rent or not abided by the rules .in any case they will tell you all your rights...
