How can i stop a wooden framed daybed from creaking?
Answers:
the felt idea would work. another simple trick would be to get some rubber dishwashing gloves, cut them into sheets, and place the sheets in between the joints..like the felt technique, you're going to have to basically break your bed down then pt it back together just lay the sheet in between the wood, put it back together then use a razor to shave off any excess material. i wouldn't go dousing any wooden furnature of mine with oil if i were you...yeh it might stop the noise, but it's going to both stain your furnature, and depending on what kind of oil you use.possibly begin to deteriorate the wood.
WD40 oil
Rub vaseline or similar where the wood joints are.
the creak is only wood rubbing against wood.
smash the f ucker up
'exercise' somewhere else!
bit of baby oil or cooking oil
Undo the slats where they touch the frame. Insert felt into the gaps, tighten slats. Job done.
Try putting talcum powder on all the joints - it worked for me - and your bed will smell nice!
Try teak oil.
the wood is dyed out add moisture ti the air tighten the screws or re glue the joints. if needed after the wood get the moisture it needs
Rub candle wax onto the joints
put a sheet of cardboard under it
just watch what you do in it.
