How can I get an item (which says 21 days) delivered quicker from Argos?
Basically, I want the Antony Worral Tompson BBQ for £399.00. I cant find it for sale anywhere else, and Argos are saying I cant pick it up (I have a Van) and it will take 21 days to deliver (and they cant even promise that)

I have ordered from Argos before, and it is up to 21 days delivery, my washing machine came in 6 days and my sofa in 7, and I live in Northern Ireland. If you are on the mainland it while probably be quicker than that.
I used to work at argos and to be honest they tend to cover their backs saying it will take as long as 21days.they generally get it to you within a week or two but by saying it will be longer it means you can't be pushy if they're late!
If not ring customer services and explain that you need it asap and (if you can) say you're willing to pay more to get it sooner or even come and get it yourself.if you're firm you'll be fine!
check out their website, the recommended delivery dates are different from what they advised you. oh yeh whilst your browsing there is a faq page with your sort of query.

Delivery times in the UK suck, I moved from there to Spain, and here, when they are delivering something, they ask if that afternoon is OK. Also, when buying furniture you naver get the 6-8 week delivery time given, if its in the shop you get it usually within 24 hours. And they arrive when they say they will.
