Why do i get water at the bottom of my fridge, its only 6 months old has it it got something to do with temp?
Answers:
The fridge is supposed to drain water, but it's supposed to go down the back, through a little filter dealy, and into a drip-pan on the underside. Check around on the back of the fridge or on the cheat-sheet (normally printed inside one door or on the temp. guage) and see if it says anything about it. See if the drain is clogged. Good luck.
You probably have a leak or something.
we get water in the bottom of our fridge sometimes as well. the temp is on too cold. try turning it down a little. it usually works for me
Is it self defrosting? if it is there is a little drain hole at the back inside. Check that you have not placed something in the fridge covering this, or that it is not blocked with bits or ice.
First answer is probable correct, had this problem myself. The fridge is sucking bits of food down a channel at the back, this channel gets blocked. I use a piece of wire, with the insulation still on to prevent damage, find the hole, usually behind the top shelf and push it down, about 2 feet, it will free the blockage. This occurs about every 6 months. Or call out the engineer and pay an arm and leg.
Check the channels and drain inside the fridge at the back, usually level with the bottom shelf. This often gets blocked and the normal drainage ends up in your fridge.
If the channel is not clogged then your probably have someone leaving the door open for long periods. This can build up condensation on the inside contents and that can drip on the shelves and on the bottom. Get a nanny cam aimed at the fridge and see who is doing the dirty deed.
very likely the drain hole at the back of the fridge is blocked, had this problem myself recently, cleared hole of food debris, bingo!
Well what alot of people do not do is when they have a new fridge they forget to level it out. Try this simple test open your fridge or freezer door about half way then let it go. The door should close on its own. If it doesn't then you need to raise the front of your fridge until it does close's on its own. When your fridge goes on defrost the water is going to flow to the lowest spot. If your fridge is tilted to far foward then thats where the water will flow, Instead of flowing to the back where the drain hose is located. On the front of your fridge on the bottom pop the vent off if it has one and you will see a screw or bolt turning clockwise raises that one side then do the other side . try to remember how many turns on each bolt to make sure you have them even. Hope this helps.
save the water there is a shortage of water
Make sure the fridge is level so the water won't just run out of the drainpan. Look at the owner's manual and make sure the drain pan is there (they've left them out before).
