How thick do you think a concrete base should be for an air conditioning fan?
Answers:
If you are talking about a condensing unit that sits outside, there is no requirement.
I would just buy the pre cast 2" concrete ones or better yet, just buy what the supplier sells - heavy duty UV resistant plastic.
If the ground is leveled and tamped, you don't need concrete at all, just get the plastic ones.
I do it for a living and I don't know anyone who still uses concrete for a house condenser.
How big is the fan???
about 7 inches
it should be a minimum of 200 mm or 8 inchs

This doesn't answer your question, but on a home improvement show on TV, the A/C tech put down a premade slab of a material that only required that the location be level. The slab looked to be only one to two inches thick and lightweight compared to concrete.
3 1/2" with #4 (1/2") rebar at 12" each way.
4" is more than enough, they do sell them pre cast also
6 inches or 150mm thick.Hope this helps
Get a precast one sized for the condenser. Make sure it is level, then mount the condenser on it.

Do you mean for a Central Air Conditioning Condenser?
2" thick slab will do it. But I prefer the prefab plastic bases. Neater, faster and no cracks.
And the cost is the same.
Go and buy you 6-8 concrete blocks that are 6"inches thick and 12" square. These are the same concrete blocks used for foundation work footings.Cheaper than anything else and will last forever;I have a 3 ton unit sitting on the same.
we have one outside our house its about 2 in. thick listen to the guy who does it for a living he knows what hes talking about. My father-in-law done that for a livin to they know.
