What's the best finish to use for custom made Oak veneered doors. I want to achieve a natural matt finish?
I've done a lot of research into this and it appears that Tung oil (ideal for its low odours) or acrylic laquer (high odours) are the most commonly used ones.
It would be great if you guys can confirm this and maybe tell me exactly which one to buy at which store within London as there are so many variations on offer when i visit these stores.

I have recently been working on our wooden doors - I would recommend visiting a good decorators such as brewers and get some decorators vanish in dead flat matt finish. This will seal the door and keep moisture out but not leave a shiny surface. Hope this helps
I would have said linseed oil, but thats just my favorite right now, pongs a bit (temporarily too)
Of the 2 you mention tung oil is great, natural too.
Which one?, pure is best, no colours, maybe blended, a bit of beeswax wont hurt either you have to put in a fair amount of elbow grease to make it shiny so dont worry about a waxed finish.

Osmo is good. We have used it on our floors and it is matt and doesn't mess with the colour.
Good quality FLAT varnish, not matt, give at least 3 coats lightly sanding between coats with worn fine glass paper, and not forgetting to wipe the surface including top and sides with a cotton cloth before each coat.
