We are having terrible problems with our toilet continually blocking-Nightmare!Any ideas?

Answers:
the most common reasons for it to happen is that every body these days throw all kind of stuffs you can imagine into the toilet including coton buds, baby napies and hygenic pads. no wonder it gets blocked.
my advice is to theach all the people on the house that the small bin in the bathroom is there for this kind of things, not only for decoration purpose.
call a plumber & have it rodded out.
call a plumber....or a septic tank company?
no more burritos
stuff a garden hose into it, then wrap a towel around the hose to block it,then turn on the hose and it will flush it out.
go to a hardware store and get a toilet snake. The hose thing above me looks like a good idea too.
i think you could put some kind of tablet or something into it . i dont remember what exactly its called but you could google it.
I had this problem in my old house, called a plumber and he said it wasbecause of the tree in our front garden, the roots had grown into the drain, therefore blocking it now and again, might be worth checking out if u have a tree growing nearby good luck
that happens a lot since we all went to low flush toilets, i would recommend going to a hardware store they do have something that will push the waste down with force.
i saw this on "ask this old house" but i cant remember what it is called.
DRAIN-O
sh it in a neighbours toilet that way you save on bog roll too!!!
have used mr muscle already
It's these water saver toilets. They have some new ones that have pretty much solved the problem. They use the same amount of water, but they force the water down. They are expensive, though. Your plumber might be able to find you an old style toilet if you're feeling like an outlaw.
Mmmm, I don't know, maybe your full of ****!
Get a plumber out quick you will have an awful mess if it starts to overflow.
If this is the only problem with Sewer Drain, then its probably got something in the Commode itself, use an a snake or augor to get it out- kids put things in them. ha ha
Its most likely a blockage in the U bend, buy a large plunger from a plumbing merchants, flush the toilet and pump like hell as the water is going down. (if the bowl is allready full dont flush) also lift the drain cover and see if its all clear, if its not you'll have to rod it ( thier about £30 ) just make sure you hold onto them tight as once the blockage is moving the newly flowing crap will try to take the rods with it . worst case scenario you've got a collapsed or root infested drain which will cost you money & plenty of cups of tea.
do you live in a house.if you do check manholes outside.
i would call a plumber.. because it could be a few things. 1 your toilet may be old and dont have the punch to preform like it used to.. 2 u could have a collasped drain line that will need to be repaired. 3 u could have a root penatration in your main sewer line. 4 if u r on septic u may need to have it pumped out( this is recommended every 3 to 5 years). there are alot of things to check and test to determine a problem and a solution.. a good plumber should ba able to do this with no problem
Once the mammoth turd has been shifted, Soda Crystals soaked overnight on a weekly basis.
Change your diet
call a drainage engineer out to rod or jet the drain clear. if the problem continues a CCTV survey of the drains will help find the cause of the problem.
