Why is it that every company supplying a service such as gas, internet, cable, water etc are rip off merchants
And why do they provide such a poor service?
Answers:
all the electric and gas companies are in it together they have adopted a policy of alliteratively taking turns at being good guy bad guy all the time pushing the prices higher this process does seem to work as the prices keep going up
plus they came up with a good one where you pay more for your electric now so you don't pay more later when they put it up!!
how would we all be if tescos did that with food?
its about time gas/water /electric was put back into the hands of the country that's using it and it should not be in the hands of profiteers
the basic utilities should be self supporting with any profit going back into the infrastructure and invested in alliterative resources
remember
SERVICE IS A DIRTY WORD to all these big companies because IT COSTS THEM MONEY.
they are trying to squeeze the maximum amount from us with the minimum of overheads. these utilities are not something we can do without its about time we were all protected from this spiralling situation and a stop was put to these companies now Take back our utilities now get them back under proper control and answerable to the people of this country
there should be a national resources department controlling the utilities where the needs of the country are put first and any profit going back into the infrastructure for the generations to come
My Dad always said it's because they got you by the short hairs. We need the service so we continue to pay no matter how bad the service is or how over priced it is.
It all boils down to bad customer service. Nine times out of ten you have to speak to a multitude of different departments, none of whom want to take responsibility for the problems and it is rare to get a sympathetic ear. Having had problems with our water supplier I am near at my wits end, I just want the problem sorted, they want to go in circles. I think if people started shaming some of these companies they might buck there ideas up.
Most of them are monopolies and you only have 1 choice as to the comp. you have to have. I f there is a problem with service they can come whenever they feel like it.
Because Maggie Thatcher privatised them all in a rush, and they put profit before customer service.
And because most of the call centres have been offshored to the cheapest they can get away with, usually somewhere in India
You've got to shop around and check out the best deals. Word of mouth and anecdotal evidence of other people's experience is a good sourse of information. Keep an eye on the letters pages in your local rag. Talk to people, the neighbours. Kick up a big fuss, organise a petition. March ten thousand stong and demand better serivice or else. Start a revolution.
