Why does my VAX carpet cleaner not work?
Have used it several times before so I know what I'm doing but when I turned the green and red switches on, it made the noise it usually does but it wasn't releasing any water down the pipe.

get it checked out
It could be a kink in the pipe or the inlet filter blocked. if it is making its usual "noise" the pump must be working. Make sure the inlet pipe dangles into the water/shampoo mix too.
