How much do you think it would cost to turn you loft into a bed room?

Answers:
To actually have it as a proper bedroom, so you can advertise it as a 4 instead of a 3 bedroom house when you sell, you need to have permenant fixed access to it. This means carrying out a loft conversion which means getting planning permission and building regulations approval, fitting a new staircase to access your loft, probably fitting or strengthening your floor joists, fitting adequate insulation, internally sealing your roof and fitting floor planks, plastering, wiring and maybe fitting a velux window or dormer window. For all of this you would probably be looking somewhere in the region of forty thousand pounds depending on the size of your loft.
About £12,000, depending on the state it's in.
Depends on the size of the loft and if you want a proper conversion. We had one quoted for a few years ago and they said 50 grand!
Up to 4k, depending what style you are using.
You can do it for a couple of grand if you do most of the work yourself.
mine about £8-10000 but that would have no bearing on yours.
Around about £15,000.
DEPENDS IF YOU WANT TO MEET BRITISH STANDARDS OR NOT IF YOU CALL IT A HOBBY ROOM AND NOT A BEDROOM THEN YOU DONT HAVE TO MEET BRITISH STANDARDS BUT IF YOU WANT A BEDROOM THEN THE FLOOR HAS TO BE REINFORCED AND INSULATION PUT IN THE ROOF.ROUGHLY ABOUT 10,000.
My partner's a builder. He reckons £12-£15k and that should get you a 1 or 2 Velux windows as well. (they abut £400 each for the kit he says).
I wouldn't have a clue but if you live in Kent, England my work mate's partner owns a loft conversion company if that's any help?
i think if u have a proper staircase going to the loft it has to be done to building control/regs spec and will probably cost in excess of £10k
If u have a ladder and just board out the loft and say u are using it for storage, no one need know and will cost u very little
about the same price as a car.
depends on the space. you could probably come out about 6 grand at the tops.
