Why won`t my powermax 155 boiler fill up?

Answers:
It depends on what type of powermax it is. If its open vented i.e has a small tank above it of in the loft that fills the heating system make sure it has water in it. If it has you probably have a blockage in the cold feed pipework.

If it's a sealed system, the filling loop may be faulty, thats the part with the flexy silver pipe with valves attatched*. The other option is that it is filling properly but the pressure guage is faulty.

If you are constantly losing pressure and it is a sealed system, check the expansion vessel is not burst internally, also if you have problems firing it after refilling, if it does nothing, chech the low water pressure switch at the top of the boiler. this can trap air and makes the boiler think it's empty. There is an auto air vent mounted on the low water pressure switch housing, if you open this and vent the air it should fire ok.
