What electrician to use?
I am wanting some electrical work carried out, and want to find an Electrician in surrey. I have found a website explaining how to choose one http://www.surrey-electricians.co.uk/cho. but don't know if any particular body (NICEIC, BREm British Standards) is better than the other or if any would be fine choosing a electrician from any of them.

Ask to see their Registration certificate for NICEIC, and confirm that it is registered to them and not a fake.
You cuuld contacy your local authority and ask for their approved list.

only fully qualified electricians are allowed to do electrical work. it is a legal requirement in the uk.
Try the surrey yellow pages to find an electrician and give them a call.
Certainly even in the UK they should be licensed.
You might attempt contact with many, and ask for a client list for references, then check the satisfaction levels of any clients they have done work for.
Consider the years in business, the client base, the company size, the return customers, etc.
