If I punched a hole in my wall, how would I fix it?
Answers:
I've read the other answers,,,smiles, Don't just cover it.
Also depending on the size of the hole and the material the wall is made of (I'll assume Drywall) don't just use spackle or mud. Most home imp. stores have what is known as Culled material,(Cut offs and excess pieces) Find one that offers a small piece of drywall material,,, or beg a piece from a local contractor.
Cut, with a razor knife or keyhole saw, a section just larger than the hole punched. Then, using lattice wood strips, 1x2 wood strips, or a piece of 2x4, glue those just inside the hole/wall forming a base/block for a piece of drywall material the size of the new hole you've cut.
Most good carpenter adhesives in a tube will serve the purpose. Then glue that patch piece to the wood strips,(after the glue on them has dried), wait for the patch piece to be firmly set, form the spackle or MUD into the cut lines, allow to dry, sand, prime, possibly more spackle to fill to invisible, paint and pray you don't do it again.

1. Stop doing that and grow up. Go run around the block the next time you get so frustrated. Little kids use their fists, not men
now that I've scolded you.
2. Go get "spackle" from any hardware store. It will fill in the hole, and then you can paint over it.
Now behave!
keep a poster on it
It depends on what your wall is made of.
If the wall is sheet rock or dry wall, spackle or paint should do the trick. If the hole is really big, you can go to Home Depot and get a drywall repair kit.
Right on, Rev. Steven! My dad used to paint professionally, and that's exactly what he did for larger openings.
Good luck patching that hole. and I agree with the first gal: ease up on the bad ju-ju. It's not good for the ol' ticker!
