Home Infomation Packs!?

are they a good idea and will it be made law or not?

Answers:
Home Information Packs, HIPs, are still due to become law on June 1st 2007. They will improve the buying and selling process, as the information contained within them is very relevent and usefull for the buyer.

The section that is being dropped, is the Home Condition Report. This was something like a car MOT
my estate agent has said there have been put on hold again so who knows if or when
i think they are good
you get allot of the info you need before you loss money doing all the searches and stuff over and over again foe each house
I'm afraid they sound like one of these ideas civil servants think up to try and justify their salary. They may be of some use to a buyer but personally if I was buying a house I would still want my own survey done just to be sure.
it will be the biggest waste of money ever. purely because. NO mortgage lender is going to accept a survey from a vendor, no matter who the surveyor was. they wasnt there own reports for their own security. so its a huge waste of time!

it has been put on hold again. and should stay that way. most of the stuff that is going to be included you can find out prior to purchase any ways. and many mortgage lenders are offering free valuations, money back on valuations, and solicitors are also offering Search pledges. if it falls through they pay for your next one etc..
