Why do sum ppl soak their dishes in soapy water and leave it to dry or simply clean the foam with a towel?
There's a tendency that only white ppl do that because 99 times out of 100 i' d see that being done by a white.
Totally not being racist but just wanted to know how this habit came to..
Personally i wash my dishes by hand, scrub clean, washing up liquid, rinse leave to dry..
But i have seen in commercials and in ppls houses but often dont ask because it might offend them..they'd simply scrub off the food soak in soapy water and leave it to dry with foam still on the plates...
Personally i thinki its unhygienic to wash it like that..Better to rinse them off..

It is not hygienic to clean dishes that way. Dishes need to be scraped, prerinsed, washed, rinsed and left to air dry. As for what you said being racist, I think it is odd how many people think when someone states a fact about people it is a racist statement. It is not a racist comment, it is a fact only. I've only known one family that washed their dishes and did not rinse them and guess what? They were not only white, but blonde too. Egads, you know what I just noticed, I'm white, eeek!
white folks usually do that before putting them in the dishwasher
I also would like to know the answer to this question.. I always my mom that question and she didn't know!
Because they are ENGLISH!
What a silly trend!
God save the Queen!
Well, I think that's a matter of personal preference. I am white and have never done that or seen it done by any of my family or friends - and my friends come in all colors! :-) Is this done in a particular part of the country? I would agree that leaving soap on the dishes can't be good for you.
hate to burst your big bubble but,,,,,I am a white folk and I have never washed them like that, matter of fact sweet heart I wash them just as you do.
You asked this question 1/2hr ago.
I am also white and wash them the same way u do too.
I don't know what you're talking about. That statement really is racist. I use an automatic dishwasher as everyone I know does. Maybe some people prewash their dishes. Unnecessary with dishwasher. I just rinse mine and use a brush to get solids off. Then load the dishwasher. I am a white woman and have never seen anyone do that. I don't know about black people, since I don't know any.
That's commercials are you so slow that you can't see the difference would you like to see a 5 minute commercial, i don't think so, and you are been a Racist by the way and what is a male Muslim washing dishes for i thought the woman done that for you , are you single or just gay, not that i have any thing against gays it's just people like you that rub a person up the wrong way.!!
Charlotte you are stupid.!!
I wash my dishes with an antibacterial detergent, the idea of this is that you wash your dishes in a weak solution of it, you don't rinse it off because it's antibacterial action keeps working in the cupboards. I don't ever dry my dishes because T-Towels are an absolute breeding ground for germs and bacteria, including salmonella, e-coli and listeria. Not to mention the fact that the water in them turns stagnant very quickly!
I only know one white person, (but several Asians) who wash their dishes like you do. So perhaps it is a regional thing.
I totally would like to answer that question for you but I wonder the same thing and the only thing I can come up with is LAZINESS,obviously they do not realize the bubbles can and will make them ill!!
I've never seen that..and I'm white. I would think the soap film would still be on the plates and affect the taste of the food after wards.
As for commercials, I would think it was just them saving time by not showing the rinsing?
it's a matter of preferences, my parents rinse the delft particularly my father. i do rinse any drinking vessels so there is no after taste of washing up. plus i wash in order i.e. cups, plates, cutlery etc. wash pots and pans separately.
in fairness washing up liquid is hardly poisonous. so why bother rinsing, could be the answer you are looking for.
my brother in-law is colour he doesn't rinse either, now he worry he going to change into michael jackson and turn white.
I'm investing in a dishwasher eventually which by far is the most hygienic way of washing.
I usually find that theres not many people who do their washing up manually now(in a bowl,in the sink).I used to have a dishwasher, but never replaced it when it wouldnt work anymore.I usually let washing up soak in hot soapy water, then when its cooled down a bit i use 1 off those sponges with a 'scrubby' on 1 side.Wash the plates etc then put to drain. Then just pour over some fresh clean hot water, this rinses excess bubbles+helps dry quicker.
Well I am white and that sounds kind of gross. I've never seen anyone do that.
You should try using a tea towl to dry them up. leaving em on the side is unhygienic anyway.
I'm a white British woman and proud of it!i don't wash my dishes like that and never seen my family do either.
