A scraper is the best. I was worried it might scrape the glass but it was fine. Nice and quick!

get a scraper from the hardware shop, its specially designed to do it and its easy to use

You use a single-edged razor blade. It can't possibly scratch the glass.

Hi I would use white spirit and a scraper.
Be careful about the products that you use if your windows are UPVC because certain products will react with the plastic and either stain or melt the plastic. For example most nail varnish removers have acetone in them which melts plastic.

GET A BOTTLE OF PAINT STRIPPER AND PAINT IT ON THE WINDOWS WITH A BRUSH IT WILL PEAL THE PAINT OF BUT MAKE SURE YOU WEAR GLOVES WHEN YOU DO IT

The others who said scrapers were correct, make sure it is in a special holder, it looks like a utility knife blade (Stanley) and it works a treat.
