cut them off! right down to the shoot from the main branch
The leaves could be brown because of lack of water.
Also, eucalyptus are not tolerant of windy sites so that could cause the leaves to turn brown.
Eucalypts are among the tallest of trees, so I hope you have plenty of room in your garden!
How old and large is your tree? They do not have a long life and if old can blow down very easily in stormy weather, so maybe the tree is diseased and is about ready to die? If so make sure it doesn't fall in the direction of your (or your neighbours') house.
eucalyptus are native to australia and thats the best place for them mind you they burn pretty well as the leaves have oil on them make sure the bears are off it first
