How do I clean my new Chamois leather.?
When I used my new chamois leather on my car, I got black marks all over it which came from the rubber/vinyl windscreen/window surrounds. Although still functional it is very unsightly, and cost a lot of money so my wife is not very happy :-).
It is currently soaking in warm water and ordinary soft hand soap. Please help.

Are you serious? Its for drying the car with, not to look at. Its a functional item. Do you wash out your sponge too after you've washed your car?
Try soaking it in HP sauce, it may help.
Give it a good rinse in lukewarm water with a mild non-alkali soap, or mild detergent. Squeeze/wring Chamois to remove excess water. Gently stretch, and hang in area protected from direct sunlight and intense heat. Take care not to over dry.
