How do i easily get limescale off a glass shower screen (London water!)?
Answers:
lemon juice and salt mixed together cheap and it sparkles and smells fresh
cilitbang or patio cleaner works
i use CIF and that does the trick once a week
Cilit Bang.although its not as great as Barry makes out!!
I've found rubbing a lemon on and leaving for a few hours, then using a bathroom cleaner (Zoflora used neat) and a scrubby brush does the trick!
Then use a spray to prevent it coming back. There are loads on the market.
.
cillit bang , make sure you test a bit first its very strong and wear gloves
Windowlene Wipes are great
To clean without chemicals, use one of those scrunched up body scrubs and washing uoliquid
i'd try cillit bang for stubborn marks. also look into normal vinegar, its great for a whole host of domestic problems.
I swear by Viakal.
You can pour it on to a cloth or buy the spray. It's the same stuff, but for glass shower doors, the spray is easier to use.
Spray on, wait, wipe off. The time you need to wait will depend upon how bad/thick the limescale is. If it's really bad, you will probably have to spray a few time.
Take care not to spill the stuff! (It's bright blue)
Good luck.
Try harpic toilet cleaner with 100 per cent limescale remover.
Try a bleach and water mix. You can also try C.L.R. I'm not sure if they have this wear you are. If this limescale is really bad you might try oven cleaner, but be very careful with any of these salutions. Don't mix any of them and make sure you have good ventilation.
I use vingar and warm water with a green scub pad it smells a little but it is cheap, and it does work
try L.O.C. plus daily shower cleaner it works great i get it at www.atafolla.qhealthbeauty.com
lemon oil
Put equal quantities of Vinegar and Hot Water in a Spray Bottle and Spray your Shower Screen down, give it a wipe over and then Dry it.
You can do the same cleaning your Windows ,but to to that just Spray some of the V&W onto a Cloth and do the same, make sure you go over them with a Clean Dry Cloth though.
Quick results: use Viakal
Slower but Environmentally-friendly: make a paste of vinegar and table salt, apply with a slightly damp sponge using a light, circular motion, and then rinse off thoroughly. This method begs two and three goes before you'll achieve a good result. Just remind yourself that the exercise is good for you.
It's a pain trying to keep it clean, isn't it? I use Cilit Bang once a week and use a shower spray (I think it's Flash) after every shower as a preventitive measure. If you're using Cilit Bang, make sure you wear gloves and rinse it off properly, especially from any sealant or rubber as it can make them go a nasty shade of pink.
