Help pen mark !!?
My 1 year old has just drawn on my cream leather sofa in biro What can i get it off with !!!
Answers:
This is an easy one to solve. If the young one has used blue ink then simply continue with the same pen until the whole sofa has been coloured in and then no one will every notice plus you get a new colour sofa, this method can work many times so when you get bored of the blue simply give the child a black pen!
im sorry i dont know but if u find a solution please let me know as my 2yr old has done the same thing to mine.
Soapy water should do it. Not sure about the biro though
Try using the stuff you wash your clothes with (preferably liquid) just out it on a cloth and rub over the mark it should come off straight away. Failling that get in some 1001 it's great for stains of all kinds.
It should come off quite easily. Try Jif (or I think it's called Cif now).
We've got specialist cleaner for our leather sofa, but I know a friend uses Jif/Cif and that works really well.
I have a cream leather suite the same happened I contacted the dealer who advised me first to try baby wipes if does not work buy some surgical spirit from chemist on a cotton bud and only on the mark then rinse off well, seriously works..good luck
Baby wipes
Hairspray!
Leather is virtually maintenance-free as a furniture covering, but ink from a ballpoint pen can be particularly hard to remove. Ink marks are certainly easier to remove than a rip, however.
Steps:
1. Work on removing the stain as soon as you discover it. Dried ink is especially difficult to get out, unless you act quickly.
2. Blot the stain with a soft dry cloth or cotton ball.
3. Moisten another cloth and clean lightly with circular movements. Dry the surface with a soft cloth.
4. Try a little saddle soap or another leather cleaner, but first read the label regarding its safety for use on your particular kind of leather. You may also try removing the stain with lukewarm water and shampoo.
5. Contact the manufacturer for a remedy for the type of ink used - the company may sell its own solvent.
Tips:
Traditional wisdom recommends treating ink stains with milk or tomato. Cover the stain with a little milk or rub it with the cut side of a half a tomato. Take more care with the tomato remedy, as tomatoes contain some acidity. Rinse either treatment well.
Warnings:
Avoid any kind of cleaner or detergent, unless it's specified for the particular sofa or particular leather, as it could harm the leather.

Removing Biro Ink from leather by eHow Friend
We have an aspen white suite and found the best thing to get Biro ink off is:
1. Get some Astonish Oxy-Plus granules.
2. Add 1 teaspoon to a little boiling water to help dissolve and the fizzing action to start.
3. Dab onto the ink stain (even if old stain) and gently rub in a circle motion, leave on stain for about 5 minutes and wipe clean. The stain will vanish over a couple of hours.
This works on new and old stains and I would give it 4.5 ticks out of 5.
don't use soapy water. that can cause the leather to crack later. best thing to do is talk to a dealer and ask their advise. preferably the people you bought the sofa from.
milk or baby wipes
We got a Ink Lifter Stick from a leather furniture shop if your supermarket doesnt have it.
I have had great luck in removing ink stains with antibacterial hand gel. Maybe it's the alcohol in it. Try a dab of alcohol on a cotton swab. Good luck, and cover the sofa until the toddler gets older.
ethanol but be very care-full just to do the patch as might take shine of a large patch.
good luck.
:-)
Hairspray. It really works. Spray it on the biro mark, leave for a couple of minutes and wipe with a damp cloth.
Put fairy on it before you put it in the wash mite have to do this more then once.
