How do I keep my outside pot plants watered when I am on holiday if I can't ask a neighbour?

Answers:
Take a empty Two liter of pop or something as big or bigger or even a milk jug and put a couple pin holes in the bottom of it and fell with water and sit it up in the pots..it will drip out very slow but it will keep them from drying out while you are gone.
hope it rains or buy timed hoses
Find a large container that doesn't leak, fill it 4 inches high with water and stand the pots in that
potted plants or marijuana?
Hide them amongst your neighbours plants, try about 3 gardens, easy peasy, just make sure you put and remove them in the stealth of night
Ask your local policeman to do it for you.
save plastic bottles and place upside down in your plant pots and the humidity will cause condensation which will run down and water your plants .
Go to your local garden centre and look for a "matting" that absorbs water. It is usually on a roll that you unwind to the required length and stand the pots on it. Drape the end of the strip in a "bath" of water. The mat will soak up and become wet and the plants will only take up the amount of water they need.
Enjoy your holiday.
use 2 liter soft drink bottles cut off the bottom
punch 2 small pin sized holes in the top leave the lid on
stick it down in pot beside watered plants and fill with water
If you will only be gone for a week, and you don't have to many plant here is what you can do.

Get your self a large container, something like rubber made container from home depot. ( something large, like over 15 to 25 gal)

Then get your self some cotton close line rope,
now here is the fun part.
Cut equal lengths to run from you container to your plants, how ever many you have.

when you have all the ropes together, line them up like you will be trying to braid them and tie a knot in one end, so now you have something that looks like a whip,(cat nine tails)

next get a stick and poke a hole in to each flower pot, and insert
one of the ropes in to each pot, then the end of the rope with the knot you stick in to the rubber made container.

It will draw water from the container in to the ropes, then in to the pot, by a method called capillary Acton, and another name for this is the wick system.
And yes I have used it in the house.
Replace the soil with 'MiracleGro Smart soil'.It has these little crystals that are ,basically, desiccants.(like Damp Rid) that pull moisture in and hold it untill the soil needs it.You can also use a "Self-watering" pot. Finally, there are these cute little "frogs" (ceramic) that have a long un-glazed tube attached to them that "weeps" water slowly into the soil.
install a drip irrigation system that operates on a timer to water the plants. Good luck.
Three options. At garden centers and even at Walmart they sell a product in small jars that absorbs water that you mix with the dirt. It is called Watersorb but they sell different ‘name’ brands of it depending on where you go to get it so don’t look for that name in particular. You can mix this in the top layer of dirt and water. It will stay wet longer this way. Second you can get a drip hose and leave it on. This might swamp your plants though. Third option is to use the drip hose or a small sprinkler and go get a hose timer – about $20 at walmart. I use these for our vacations and you set the time for the water to come on and the intervals. They might even be on sale now since it is the end of the season. I bought one last year around this time for $14.
hope you get some rain,or you will have to try a hardware store and ask them if they have a timer to turn on and off the water while your gone..
