How do I stop junk mail coming to my house?

Answers:
Stop giving your address to websites or people you don't know.
Bolt over the letter box
Nail the letterbox shut !
move!
Short of becoming homeless, I don't think there is a way.
Get intouch with your local sorting office and tell them not to deliver junk main to your address.
register with MPS - http://www.tpsonline.org.uk/mpsr/.
if your in gb ring post office they will do it also go on to web
Set fire to your house and let it burn down. you cant stop that crap any other way.
if im right im sure u can get a sticker on your door saying no junk mail im sure ive seen a couple on doors before ask at your local post office about this im sure they will be more than happy to help you with this situation good luck
You need to ask that poor postie who has been suspended for telling people just that.
Good question..I feel like I'm killing a tree or two every month with all the junk I get. I don't want it either!!
You may register with the MPS name-removal file online or by mailing your name, home address and signature in a letter. Registration is good for five years
To receive less national advertising mail, you can register for the Direct Marketing Association's (DMA's) Mail Preference Service (MPS).

Please note that DMA does not provide marketers with consumer mailing lists or do consumer mailings. Rather, the Mail Preference Service is available to marketers for the sole purpose of removing your name and address from their prospect mailing lists. Members of the DMA are required to use our name-removal service, and other marketers are encouraged to use it.

Although you will see a great reduction in the unsolicited mail you receive, not all commercial mail will stop. You may continue to receive mail from companies with which you already do business and from non-DMA member companies that do not use our service. In addition, you may continue to receive mail from local merchants, professional and alumni associations, political candidates and office holders, and mail addressed to "resident/occupant." Please note that MPS applies only to home addresses, not business addresses
Boy I wish I had your life. Who cares? Throw it away!
blow up your house
stop entering sweepstakes, contests or free materials.it will take a long time..get a po box for that junk mail.
Well ya could relocate, not give a forwarding address, and let the USPS deal with it,,,but so much junk is blanket sent, you'll get it anywhere ya go.

You might put a trash can right at the mail box to make it easier to leave it where it belongs, and not clutter your counter tops.

Neither rain, nor sleet, nor gloom of night,. will keep these couriers, from their appointed rounds,,,BUT believe this, if they never had to deliver another ounce of useless junk mail, and a severe waste of natural resources used to create the junk,,,THEY WOULDN'T.

Rev. Steven
I've no idea, but if you find out PLEASE LET ME IN ON IT!!
contact the mailing preference service and they can reduce it
Move to Uzbekistan, buy a yak, and sing hallelujah!
if in uk, register with mail preference service. 4 unwanted phone calls, telephone preference service
Just a minute...NOT all unsolicited mail is junk. I always open everything as there is sometimes a really good deal. I won a complete surround sound televison with the help of 'junk mail' on another occasion I bought a piece of software advertised in junk mail which turned out to be the best thing I ever bought. DONT BIN IT UNTIL YOUV'E READ IT.
