Yes in many ways it's much more expensive. I lived in aberdeen for 8 years and now live in glasgow. Even things like BT phone line rental and fuel are more expensive. It's the oil capitol of Europe, so the prices are suited to all the rich people up there. Was a hard life being a poor student there (a genuine poor one)

Generally yea. I lived there for eight years and moved there from Glasgow. Most things are more expensive. Which is a shame cause not everyone living in Aberdeen's involved in the oil and earns a related wage.
