Where do i find RELIABLE tradesmen:plasterer,plumb. painter,electrician ?
i need a lot of small jobs to be completed by 6th Oct and by competent tradesmen in my area.newport south wales.. do you know any one in need of work ?who wont rip me off..had nightmare plumber once very aggressive,would not leave ,scared me,,, any ideas please?

Try and get a recommendation from a friend. Make sure your fitters are corgi registered and you can ask to see their cards.
Best to go for someone that has been established for a while and has put money into the business. If they are a cowboy, then they would only be after making a quick buck.

Ask friends / work colleagues - a recommendation of good work is worth more than anything.

I would start by going to your local courthouse where they issue business license. They will be more than able to help you, also they would know who does the best job. Please make sure they are Insured and have a General Liability Certificate made out to you from each of the subcontractors. This is in case of some sort of damage done by the contractor.
