Are 00800 telephone numbers dialed from the UK free? (not 0800 just 00800)?

im am sorry I don't know I tryed to ook but it did not turn out right
no sorry.
You cannot dial 00800, you must dial 001800. When you do so you will get a message saying the call will be charged at direct dialing rates. I also know this because I listened to a guy I know who works for BT who told me it wouldn't be charged BUT IT WAS. A way around it is to get Skype and dial it from there. If you do it through Skype it won't cost you at all. However, if you get skype, you need to get skype out in order to make calls, and this requires you to buy credit. Put £10 into it and you can also call the rest of the world for nearly nothing.
