In reality what are the necessary steps and legalities to setting up a small business in Ireland.?

My friend and i want to set up a business in Dublin, we have a few ideas about what we could do, does anyone have any advice or have they gone through this experience themselves

Answers:
Yeah, quite simple but takes a while.
You need Memoranum & Articles of Association first, you get these from a place in Dublin, look in the yellow pages under legal stationary, it's called Kings and ?. Cost €10
Fill them out and bring them to a solicitor who needs to sign them in 3 places. Cost €30
Get a A1 form the Companies Registration Office and fill out
Bring all this to the CRO and pay them €100.
Wait 2 weeks, you'll get a cert of incorporation in the post.

Now it's gets annoying.
Go back to the CRO and ask for copies of the mem & articles. You need them to open a bank account. The CRO won't have them ready so tell them it's urgent.
Then set up bank account.
Then download a TR2 form from revenue.ie, fill this out for tax, (you need the bank account for this).
It will take them 2 weeks to give you a VAT number.
Also check out entreprise Ireland for a grant.

The best of luck lads!
