What side of London is better -north or south-?

north of the river is my fav but if i'm driving then the best side is the outside

None it is all crap you are better off in the midlands.
For what purpose? All of London is nice, but the area around Hyde Park, and through Kensington and Chelsea is perhaps best. Unless you have some particular ethnic interest, or can't afford the high-rent district . . .

Trust me south london is the da best cos it has lots of clubs and bars to go to.
I'd say south london because crime rates aren't so high. And the air is purer.

South London has more community spirit in the local areas. There is much much more green open spaces.
Transport links can be a problemn but that is gradually being resolved. You can chat to people here, at the bus stop, the super,market or out in the street usually without fear of being intimidated, mugged or insulted. Peopl tend to friendlier south of the river. The north has its good points but they don't stand up to what is in the south.
