Contravention of Copyright buying at EBAY and such.?
I wondered as i posed a copyright for a project if people realised that when buying from ebay the sellers were actually breaking the la. Most dvd's cd's video's and books will have a copyright which states that they are not allowed to sell to another person. Ebay in accepting these sales are in contravention of selling illegal goods. To recap. Once a book, dvd,cd,video is bought normally the owner does not have a legal right to sell on. Odd I know but isnt the law always odd? Next time you watch a DVD instead of skipping watch the WARNING!

Good point but if you no longer want thees items you would have to keep them think of the boxes of junk you would have to keep or the piles of thees items in rubbish tips ebayers could get round the clause by giving thees things free with the envelopes being the item bidded on
Not so simple!
The question is 'are you bound by the terms on the disc?'
If you looked at the disc before you bought it you would have done so with prior knowledge of the terms, then you chose to be bound!
If you opened your frosties and it said not to be eaten before 9.00am they would be of no interest and so with prior knowledge yo would not have bought them.
I think it also says that they can not be played on oil rigs!! but you could on your boat, so if your boat is an oil rig (they float) you really are stuffed.....
I don't think anybody bothers, i buy dvd's and books of ebay and many more do so as well. There is something happening with ebay at the moment but i don't know what as you cannae get any copies at the moment.
