I would like to start a specialist dating agency. How do I build up a database of potential users?
I have devised a very good idea for a dating agency to be based in the uk initially. I would like to offer both a one to one service and to place the agency on the net. I have many ideas about how to advertise to get people interested in the idea, but how do I build a database of people so that those who do chose to register have people to contact immediately? This type of question must apply to many ideas that involve a large number of people. I would be grateful to anyone who has experience of starting a dating agency or a similar idea to offer some constructive advice. Advertising - can be in a form of a business card, just put them through people's letter boxes.
Database - store on computer but you will need to get a license for holding people's personal data, Data Protection license. It is about £35 if I remember right and is renewable every year.
