Tesco-v-Morrisons?
Does anyone actually like giving their money to Tesco? I think all their stores are awful..Not a patch on Morrisons who seem so much better organised & friendlier....
Answers:
I like Tescos they do great food stuffs.. we don't have Morrisons here in Eire.
ive always used tesco, because i never had a morrisons close by but since ive moved im gonna give them a try and see whats it like
I prefer Tesco's. I think their food is better quality.
depends on the staff doesnt it. If the store's unfriendly it's not the name of the shop that's at fault but the people who work in it. I couldnt care less about any name as long as the service is there and folk are nice.
Have to say that Tescos is bigger and better, nice home deliveries, gives good club card points and cash back for petrol. More pleasant to shop around in, whereas morrisons has everything packed into a jumble, too many yellow labels and ugh see-through bags so everyone can see what you carry home.definitely TESCOs!
The only difference i see is the bread seems fresher at Morrisons.... god did i actually answer this question!
Tesco must be doing something right because they are one of the biggest food retailers in the world.
Been to Morrison's and have not seen anything different or better, maybe I will take a closer look next time.
We shop every week at Tescos and are very happy doing so, they have everything that we need and doesn't cost a fortune which Morrisons does.
Would rather shop in Asda.
tescos are cheaper than morrisons i think.....
I shop at Asda, I personally find it beats both that you mention on all counts.
Yes, too right the Tesco stores are pretty pathetic and no where near as good as they used to be. I know folks that won't shop there because they dislike the shops that much! Morrisons is much better and they also have a lot of offers on which keeps many shoppers happy. I'm very grateful to Morrisons as one of their shops is the only reason an elderly relative of mine has continued to go shopping for herself and not just depend on the family to do it for her. Thanks Morrisons!
Give me ASDA any day. shame they dont do internet shopping like tesco as that would be perfect!!
tesco by me used to have a better layout than morrisons but i used to live next door to morrisons so would go there.
but now i cheat and do my tesco shopping online and get it delivered, plus my ex and his girlfriend work in morrisons... lol
quite agree Ken Morrison founded the company in Bradford. The faceless men in suits are taking over and it will slowly become like Tesco Asda etc. The fruit and deli section at Morrison are 2nd to none but make the most of it cos it will change for the worse
I prefer to swap between Tesco, Morrison and Asda, I like plenty of variety, I find the veg fresher in Asda, but Morrisons is the best place to go for a cuppa and bread, and Tesco are good for there own brand foods which are really cheap.
I say go shop at Marks & Spencer! Quality which cant be beaten!
Nonsense, I had to stop using the local supermarket because it changed from Safeway (good) to Morrisons (very bad). Morrisons' vegetables went off faster, they didn't stock several things I used to buy there, and I had to switch to Sainsbury instead, because where I was living Tesco was too far away. And now my local Tesco is a much better stocked shop than either Morrisons or Sainsbury. But shops vary according to the area you are in - so I don't doubt that your local Morrisons has more friendly staff than the Tescos, in which case you are right to give your custom to Morrisons.
I like Morrisons cos it's cheaper and predominantly shop there.but I find that it does sometimes lack 'interesting' food.
We do only have a small Morrisions though, but can't get any ricotta, paw paws, fresh canalloni (sp?), also their fresh herbs seem to live a bit longer.
On the other hand too.Sainsbury has LOADS of really nice veggy food that no one else seems to sell. But there isn't one of those near me :(
Tesco treat their staff awfully and are generally a pretty nasty corporate machine so I'd say Morrisons who are, as far as I know, generally pretty decent. As long as it's not ASDA though then I generally don't distinguish much between them. Walmart are evil!
Tesco's is appalling. They have gone too far on equal rights and now the London stores seem to have only minority groups working as staff. And one of them started inappropriately touching me on my back and arms to get my attention if he saw me in there, then he started stalking me and asking if he could work in the same company as me. They do have some good prices but out of choice i wont hand over my money to them again until they train thier staff properly. Now i only shop in Morrisons.
Beware of Warren Street Tesco's.
Morrisons are the scum of the earth! (Hehehe) I worked for them for a while, and you don't even wanna know what goes on! I shall say no more..
TESCO IS SUPREME! MORRISONS IS PONDWEED!
Morrisons has far better music to boogie along to as you are doing the extremely boring shopping. I often find people singing in the isles and myself too.
Tesco music is just intimidating 'musac' that is a bit creepy.
This makes all the difference and also the food is more down to earth and 'real'.
Keep on Truckin' Morrisons. We Love You.
I have vowed never to shop in Tescos again after a legal battle with them
you must be joking.Morrison's took over our Safeway's and made a huge mess of it , the fruit goes bad the cheese goes mouldy, there is a much more restricted choice of items...i now have to travel twice as far to get good fresh food from either tesco or m&s
I think tesco stores are the best because they offer just about anything 24 hours a day and unbeatable prices. However, i do feel that eventually they are going to grow so big that they distroy every other business and then all we will be left with is tesco.
I go to Tesco drive by Morrisons to get to it. Think Tesco better quality for money
