Plumber in London?
is 45GBP a fair price for half an hour?
Answers:
Depends on what part of London and how long he takes. Personally I dont rate companies charging by the half hour - none ever take 1/2 hour. If its a company advertising in Yellow pages etc. as 0001AAA blah blah ... forget it - they are part of a huge circle of rip off merchants. The best way to get a plumber is to log onto the INSTITUTE OF PLUMBERS website and look for recognised plumbers in your area. Or ask at your local plumbers merchants for a recommendation - they know the good guys. Good luck xx
Hell, yeah!
I think you've got off lightly there!
Lucky you!
The average plumber will charge between £60 - £75 per hour, plus parts and VAT. £45 is about average for a half hour, although I won't hire someone who charges by the half hour rather than the hour. It's a bit cheeky and the charges really add up.
