ASDA Olympics, then 2nd interview?how many more?
Hi guys, I wonder if you can help me, I've been invited to an ASDA Olympics sometime next month for a management role that I've applied, I've asked them what this is all about, they mentioned that you will be participating in group exercises, one to one interviews and taking psychometric tests. Once you've passed that, you'll have to go through a 2nd interview where its a one to one interview again.
Does anybody know for sure what to expect during that day and the 2nd interview with ASDA? I want to be mentally prepared. Please help.
Thank you.

its a game, learn to play it, or get a job with morrisons, the pyschometric, tests are the killer, i hope you are not colour blind,
the tests are interpretated by another company, find out all you can about them , ask the question of your employer, what are you looking for in a manager? the answer is in the question , simple really.
A lot of companies do this now ..it is just an assment day to watch how you deal in certain situations, they give you scenarios to work out .want to see who leads the group who sits back and give positive info...then they may whisk you off to one to one interviews in between this ..quick fire questions to catch you off gaurd..and it is also to see how you speak in front of a group and handle pressure .I find these days to be absolutly useless to recruit managers ect and they never show the candidates true nature..
It's only a crap job for god's sake. Find something better. It's all done to control you.
Much better if you put Asda through the same crap.
I went for an interview at waitrose and i had to sell a product in a group, personality bingo, talk about yourself but you may also have to show you can take control of a group as it's a management role you're going for.
In a one to one interview they will ask you question which you should answer as fully as possible and also look at them when talking yo them. Some quick advice: before the interview write down a number of questions down which you could ask them and take it in with you because even if they have answered the questions you can say "I had some questions prepared but I think you answered them all" and look at the pad. It shows you have taken time to consider things about the job and shows initiative.
Hope that helps and good luck with the interviews.
