Do what I did- get a horrible virus that screws with your brain, and makes it so you can only walk with forrest gump braces or use a wheelchair. That'll get you off work for a year or so. Totally worth it.
You just received an urgent call from family and have to go home. The key here is to be as vague as possible but make it sound serious.
the ebola virus always works well for me, necrotising fasciaitis (spelling dodgy) is good too but I never like to use it as it means you have to cut lumps of flesh off to prove you weren't bulls**ting.(and I cant spell it)
