Do good work, be a good listener, but not a bad gossiper! Your success will be word of mouth, and its so much cheaper than the newspaper ads. Men & gentlemen like to be treated with respect, kindness, neatness, and good work.(and depenability works wonders) Good luck, it sometimes takes years to build a quality business, but once you do, you will be non-replaceable.

Make sure you don't cut someone, that's a no-go everytime..

Congratulations! I just started a business to, and the best thing I have learned is to network..get referrals, and talk to everyone!

Good on you. Send you and your staff on training courses to keep up to date, charge extra for conversation and provide current magazines. Providing a service you should feel an important part of the community because you are.
Introduce a special deal - two hairs cut for the price of one! :D
Now, you need the clients, so you need to beat the drums for business by letting yourself known.
Don't advertise the blue rinses. It can really ruin ones image.
Maybe do a few cool haircuts for free on people and then take pictures and put them in the window and put them in a book and get a portfolio of your work to show to clients.
