Any experience with the London "flea markets"?

I am visiting London this July and am really interested in the "flea markets" in London ie.: Portobello Road etc. I would love to hear about your personal experience. Have you had any interesting purchases there? What? Is it good fun?

Answers:
The best are in Camden around the canal.

Look for the madest clothes and cool stuff.

Camden is the centre of alternative culture, indie rave etc.

Cyberdog in the stables market has with madest clothes you ever seen and its like a dance club bar on the entrance. you will hear it.

Get stargazer hairspray to make hair glow under uv. Can get it in the tunnel canal market.

Lots of yummy food and cheap.

You need a whole day there.

And if into the rave sceen check

www.accessallareas.org and go to an event at SEONE.

Unfortunetley the top alternative rock close have changed

Out of station head right
could not buy fleas there ;-(
My Mum bought 12 pair of ladies tights for £5 and when she got home they all only had one leg. Be careful and check what you buy.
