In what year did orby in lincolnshire connect to electricity?

Answers:
I used to live at Belvoir, Lincs. and I remember having what we lovingly called 'The Power' which came from low wattage sockets. The electricity was generated in the engine yard and the Power House distributed it to the estate houses. This form of electricity was fine as long as you were first on the line. If the first 5 houses on the grid had their ovens on at the same time, the poor soul (my sister) living at the end of the line couldn't even have a light on.
I think it was in the late 1960's that power poles started marching across the fields from Woolsthorpe to Belvoir and we then had 2 lots of electricity. The 'Power' with it's dingy cream circular sockets placed at waist level, and the 'Electricity' with it's beautiful white sockets at ankle level. My sister, who lived in the last house on the original grid, was at last able to have her television on at the same time as she boiled a kettle. However, it was quite a few months before the residents trusted the new 'Electricity' and called it 'New Fangled Electricity', preferring to use the 'Power' until it was finally turned off and the sockets removed.
I know that Orby isn't that close to Belvoir, but it must've been connected at about the same time. It was also around that time that those 'huge' pylons were built coming from Grantham and striding North across the A1 and A52.
